What do you know about Newbern NC?

My sisters and I enjoyed our day in the charming streets of New Bern NC, a hidden gem nestled along the banks of the Trent and Neuse Rivers. Traveling doesn't have to be an island, a cruise or an all inclusive. There are plenty of local areas with plenty of charm and experience.
Our first stop was this quaint country style resturant called the The Country Biscuit. Oh my goodness!! The food was great and the sanitation grade was a 96. Of course we met sweet Ms. Cynthia the manager. She came right over to the table sat down and boy did she conversate. We laughed and talk with her just like we had known her forever. You have to try it if you are ever in Newbern.

We visited the Farmer's Market with plenty of items to choose from. Spent some time at their mall while McKyrah Brown and Jennifer Lyons Hinton shopped away in their favorite store TJMaxx ☺️ Kotoya Lyons and I took breaks, people watching 😀
To do a little more shopping we drove to Jacksonville NC to the mall. As planned we came back to Newbern to wait for our Berry Merry Christmas Express Tour. While waiting we open our gifts in the car and just enjoyed our time.

The tour was another enjoyable experience, if you are in the area this Holiday season book Berry Merry Christmas Express!! The tour take you into neighborhoods to see all the beautiful Christmas Lights displays.You can do the purchase right online. It was very nice with Christmas Caroling and Christmas Lights siteseeing!! The cost is around $20-$22 per person.
After our tour we were ready for dinner and of course we tried a resturant recommended by none other than Brian Kearney!!! Carolina Grill Steak And Seafood and it was reasonable and delicious. Jennifer and I had the Hamburger Steak. Kotoya and McKyrah enjoyed the Shrimp and Flounder choice.

I can say traveling local is sometimes a better option than traveling miles away. Today was a great fun-filled day and only 35-40 minutes from where we stay. Take sometime to travel to Newbern and see what your experience will be.

Our experience was great!! I love my family!!

We had an awesome time with friends and family in Las Vegas during January. Just a short recap of how our trip went.  American Airlines from Raleigh Durham Jan 11 arriving in Las Vegas that evening. Mind you weather played a big factor in this trip. Not to mention our luggage did not arrive with us. We received it later that next morning. We were supposed to arrive around 11 am time frame and arrive in the evening. Fast forward a little we stayed at the MGM Grand Casino. This resort has soooooo much to do right there.
